Regional Study Benefits in Queensland

Queensland has migration pathways for migrants and issues provisional and permanent residency visas for qualified applicants. A nomination by the State of Queensland gives priority processing of visas with the DHA. Additional 5 and 15 points towards the DHA points test are also awarded to those who apply for a subclass 190 visa and a subclass 491 respectively. Queensland is also famous for its 491 Small Business Owners Pathway which is suitable for applicants with an entrepreneurial spirit. With such visas, the migrants acquire the same work rights as an Australian citizen and more freedom and flexibility in finding employment and business opportunities. Above these, Queensland boasts of high minimum wages, safe working conditions and more work entitlements.

Queensland has various skilled migration programs for students and working residents of the state. For Subclasses 491 and 190, residents that display employment ties and commitment to stay in the Queensland job environment, can be granted nominations by the Queensland government.
