Studying English courses in Australia is about much more than reciting words in a classroom. The teaching approach focuses on critical thinking and group and project work – all drawn from real-life experiences where it is not just about learning the language but at least practicing and applying it in everyday life. By studying this, an individual will gain a vast range of life skills you cannot get at home, particularly invaluable skills like problem-solving, leading diverse teams of people, and applying your English to real-world situations – are abilities you will draw on for the rest of your life. The English language teaching in Australia maintains a consistently high quality – no matter where you study or what course you choose.

Entry Requirements

Aspiring international students are required to be studying full-time in order to study ELICOS courses. Entry requirements vary according to the level of English language course you want to study, with some catering for beginners and some requiring more advanced English language skills. Due to education providers having different entry requirements, it is best to contact these different providers and check to see which one applies to you.

There are existing ELICOS courses for Australian tourists and visitors. These courses are combined with tourist activities.
